Solder Iron Temperature Sensor

Wood Burner Temperature Sensor
This product was designed to tell the user of either a wood burner or some other pen like tool (i.e. a soldering iron) what temperature at what temperature it was heated.  A lot of wood burners do not have a temperature gauge which means if you are wanting to change out the tip of your wood burner to create a different design, you would not know when the tip would be safe to touch. This product solves this problem by having a light meter that the tip would rest on in order to show how hot the tool is and when it was safe to change out the tips.
These pictures are of the design, which I modeled in fusion 360 in order to form my physical housing for the arduino and other components.
